A Journal of Information, Inspiration and Insight

* About My Training, Presentations and Consulting

I promise to enliven, inform and inspire your group, and to contribute my insights through:

Conference, luncheon and dinner presentations. (Inspiration and humor with immediate application.)
Break-out sessions and four-hour to multi-day training programs.
Individual and organizational consulting about my topics of expertise.

Personal, professional and workplace development and improvement.
Motivation and inspiration focused on achievment

There are some key qualities that set my work apart, and that have allowed me to be successful in a wide-variety of consulting and presentation projects, and with groups of all sizes and from varied backgrounds–business, industry, government, churches and criminal justice:

  • My unique combination of experiences and knowledge transcends occupations and career fields. I find that audiences are engaged and encouraged by the realization that work is very similar in every career, and that the challenges of personal and professional development are the same for everyone who wants to be effective.

*I had a 33 year career in law enforcement, as a supervisor, manager, executive and leader–25 years with the Denver Police Department and 8 years as the Presidential appointed United States Marshal for Colorado.

*I am one of the three Workplace Doctors on the Ask The Workplace Doctors website. William Gorden, Ph.D., the founder of the site, and Daniel V. West, share in the work, which has a world-wide readership. I apply the same insights and effective problem-solving I use on the site, to every project and presentation with which I’m involved.

*I consult and advise about human resource actions and investigations, coach supervisors and managers about workplace challenges, and have helped hundreds of  clients in the areas of public speaking, interview preparation and career development.

*I have made well over a thousand presentations to audiences of all ages, professions and vocations. My emphasis is on personal and professional development in any workplace, for people at all organizational levels.

*I have written hundreds of workbooks, resource documents and operational plans and a best-selling book on criminal justice promotional processes; written and directed video training programs and written dozens of reports related to human resource consulting.

*I have many references to verify my ability to get and keep the attention of any audience. (Critiques are not the only way to determine effectiveness, but I certainly have thousands of five star critiques!) Contact me if you would like to contact a reference about my training, presenting or consulting.

*Elvis kissed me. Deeply, warmly and nicely. See what I mean about a unique background and fascinating experiences?

They were so serious I made them smile and wave at their families!

My goal is to be considered a personal resource for every student in the class. To achieve that, I combine the best of traditonal philosophies with the concepts and methods that create an interactive, engaging training environment.
